“European Music Festival: Presidency Final” on TVP:
The Presidency of the Council of the EU is rotated by all Member States for six months each. Representatives of the Presidency of the Council of the EU, both at ministerial and expert level, are responsible for setting the agenda of the EU Council structures.
In order to ensure the continuity of the six-month presidency, the Lisbon Treaty introduced in 2009 a tripartite presidency system, i.e. the cooperation of three successive presidencies that prepare together with the European Commission an eighteen-month work programme. For the second time in the history of the EU, Poland has held an expiring term with Denmark and Cyprus.
This large, musical show aims to integrate local communities, promote European values and intercultural dialogue through art and music.
As part of the European Music Festival, five concerts will be held simultaneously: in Poznan, Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Krakow and Rzeszów. In total, more than 100 music stars will perform on eight stages. The concerts are aimed at all those who value the spirit of freedom and dialogue, the uniting of generations, the multitude of points of view and the care for the tradition and development of music.
